Liberty turned 8! At our house, that means a BIG party because this is such a special birthday. We stole the idea of a spa party from Liberty's cousins who had done the same thing. It is such a hit with girls of this age. We invited a couple of older neighbor girls to come over and help with the manicures, pedicures, and styling of hair. The girls moved from station to station and were able to enjoy making a craft, a manicure, pedicure, hair styling, and facial. Liberty really would have like to do a sleepover as well, but there are so few parents who allow those anymore so we settled for a move night after the spa part was done. The girls had movie treats and headed downstairs for a girlie princess movie. Liberty had so much fun and I'm glad her day could be so special. We love Liberty so much. She is turning into such a young lady. I see her awareness of others increase daily as she tries to include everyone, say kind things, and just take care of people. Her taste in movies, books and clothes continues to mature as well and that is fun to witness as a mother. It is something that gives us more connections and helps us to grow into better friends. Liberty you are so exceptional-I Love You!!!
Liberty named her spa the Daisy Day Spa, so we made daisy cake to match the theme!

I don't know why but this post made me very emotional. Liberty is such a beautiful young lady and I am so proud of her. It seems like not so long ago I was meeting her for the first time when she came into this world. Happy (late) birthday sweety!
